O Παγκοσμίου φήμης Κινέζος Εικαστικός Ai Wei Wei βρέθηκε την περίοδο των Χριστουγέννων στη Μυτιλήνη αλλά και σε άλλα σημεία της χώρας όπου φιλοξενούνται πρόσφυγες και μετανάστες. Το Υπουργείο Μετανάστευσης κι ο αρμόδιος Υπουργός κ. Γιάννης Μουζάλας υποδέχεται τον κορυφαίο Κινέζο εικαστικό και ακτιβιστή στην Αθήνα.
Την Παρασκευή 1η Ιανουαρίου 2016 στις 6.00 μ.μ. ο Ai Wei Wei θα παραθέσει Συνέντευξη Τύπου στους εκπροσώπους των Μέσων Μαζικής Ενημέρωσης στο forum του ξενοδοχείου King George (Βασιλέως Γεωργίου 3, Σύνταγμα), ώστε να μοιραστεί τις σκέψεις και τα συναισθήματα που του δημιούργησαν τα όσα είδε και έζησε αυτές τις μέρες.
