Circulars and guidelines on naturalisation

With a view to promote the better implementation of the circulars and optimize the work of the naturalisation committees, the Special Secretariat, having a comprehensive picture of the naturalisation committees across the territory, intends to proceed with the adoption of guidelines. The guidelines aim at ensuring better implementation of current and subsequent circulars and to further homogenizing the procedures, notably those related of the interviews of the applicants.

• Circular No. 39: Guidelines regarding the conduction of the interviews 
• Provision of guidelines on the process of interviewing applicants who have attended a school that implements the Greek Ministry’s of Education curriculum 
• Provision of guidelines on the adequate knowledge of the Greek language and the ability to communicate in writing 
• Questions related to the familiarization of the applicant with the Greek history and culture
