Implementation issues of 1A and 1B articles of the GCC

• Validation of foreign public documents in the context of examining applications for the acquisition of Greek citizenship pursuant to Article 1A, para. 1, of the Greek Citizenship Code and Art. 2 para. 1 as amended by Law 4332/2015 (due to birth and attendance at a school in Greece that implements the Greek Ministry’s of Education curriculum)
• Attendance at schools which do not conform to the Greek Ministry’s of Education curriculum
  • Dismissal of application – – the school unit is deemed not to fall within the scope of the law
• Studying at Public Vocational Schools which do not come under the Ministry of Education 
• Acquisition of the Greek citizenship due to attendance at OAED apprentice schools or other schools which do not come under the Ministry of Education – The classification of the school within the educational system is critical
