If you have a marriage certificate issued by the Greek Consulate: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u>Required Documents:<\/u><br \/>\n-The certified copy of the marriage certificate issued by the Greek Consulate.<br \/>\n-The applicant must have a valid identification document or passport.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>The marriage is registered at the Special Civil Registry Section:\u00a0 a) by either of the spouses or b) by a duly authorized third party; such authorization must be certified by <\/strong><strong>\u039a\u0395\u03a0<sup>1<\/sup><\/strong><strong>\u00a0or the Greek Consulate c) by a qualified lawyer duly authorized; such authorization must be certified by <\/strong><strong>\u039a\u0395\u03a0<\/strong><strong> or the Greek Consulate d) <\/strong><strong>by any person who has a legitimate interest. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>2. If you have a marriage certificate issued by a Civil Registry Office abroad: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u>Required documents:<\/u><br \/>\n-The legally certified<sup>2<\/sup>\u00a0marriage certificate issued in the foreign country.<br \/>\n-An official translation<sup>3<\/sup>\u00a0of the marriage certificate<br \/>\n-A birth certificate of the Greek spouse or both spouses, issued within the last six (6) months.<br \/>\n-A Family Status Certificate of the Greek spouses, indicating the Greek citizenship, The Certified Family Status must be issued within the last six (6) months).<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>The marriage is registered at the Special Civil Registry Section:\u00a0 a) by either of the spouses or b)by a duly authorized third party; by means of notarized Special Power of Attorney d) by a lawyer duly authorized; by means of\u00a0 notarized Special Power of Attorney e) <\/strong><strong>by any person who has a legitimate interest. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>3. If you have a religious marriage certificate issued by a church abroad.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u>Required documents:<\/u><br \/>\n&#8211; Certificate issued by a Church abroad where the ceremony took place, officially translated, in case it is not issued in the Greek language. The certificate by the church must be certified by the respective Church Authorities in Greece (eg. for a Christian orthodox marriage the signature is certified by the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece (\u0399asiou 1, \u039coni Petraki tel: 210 7272213)).<br \/>\n&#8211; Order of the Athens Prosecutor on registering the marriage, (former Scholi Evelpidon, building 16 \u2013 offices 8 and 10);<br \/>\n-Family Status Certificate<sup>4<\/sup>\u00a0issued within the last six months by the Civil Register on the registration of the Greek spouse or of both spouses if they both are Greek citizens;<br \/>\n&#8211; No fee is required if the birth is declared within the first 90 days.<br \/>\n&#8211;<u>FEE Receipts of fee paid to the Public Financial Service (\u0394.\u039f.\u03a5) or from <strong>eparavolo<\/strong><\/u><a href=\"https:\/\/www1.gsis.gr\/sgsisapps\/eparavolo\/public\/welcome.htm\">https:\/\/www1.gsis.gr\/sgsisapps\/eparavolo\/public\/welcome.htm<\/a><br \/>\n&#8211; if the registration takes place between the 90<sup>th<\/sup> and 180th day a fee of 5.40 euro is required to be paid at the Public Financial Service (\u0394.\u039f.\u03a5) or the fee can be paid through <strong>eparavolo<\/strong> code number<strong> 3826 for 5.40 Euros.<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8211; if the registration takes place after 180 days from the birth, a fee 15.60 euro is required to be paid at the local Public Financial Service (\u0394.\u039f.\u03a5) or the fee can be paid through <strong>eparavolo<\/strong> code number <strong>3827 for 15.60 Euro<\/strong><strong>s<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>-The applicant must have a valid identification document or passport.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>The marriage is registered at the Special Civil Registry Section:\u00a0 a) by either of the spouses or b)by a duly authorized third party; by means of notarized Special Power of Attorney d) by a lawyer duly authorized; by means of notarized Special Power of Attorney e)<\/strong><strong> by any person who has a legitimate interest. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>4. If there is a final judicial decision of a Greek Court <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u>Required documents:<\/u><br \/>\n&#8211; The final judicial decision;<br \/>\n&#8211; The Service Report;<br \/>\n&#8211; Certification from the Office of the Court which issued the decision, certifying that no ordinary or extraordinary appeal has been lodged; it must be issued one month after the Service Report;<br \/>\n-A Family Status Certificate of the Greek spouse<sup>5<\/sup>, indicating the Greek citizenship, or of both spouses if they are Greek citizens (issued within the last six (6) months).<br \/>\n-The applicant must have a valid identification document or passport.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The marriage is declared a) by one of the spouses or b) by the attorney who was present at the trial and is duly authorized; by means of Special Power of Attorney or c) by a duly authorized third party; by means of notarized Special Power of Attorney d)<\/strong><strong> by any person who has a legitimate interest. <\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n[1]\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u039a\u0395\u03a0:\u00a0 local Citizens Service Centers (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ermis.gov.gr\/portal\/page\/portal\/ermis\/KepIndex\">http:\/\/www.ermis.gov.gr\/portal\/page\/portal\/ermis\/KepIndex<\/a>)<\/p>\n[2]\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>a)<\/strong> Apostille Stamp: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hcch.net\/en\/instruments\/conventions\/authorities1\/?cid=41\"><strong>https:\/\/www.hcch.net\/en\/instruments\/conventions\/authorities1\/?cid=41<\/strong><\/a><strong>) <\/strong>or <strong>b)<u> if the country is not a member of the Apostille Convention<\/u><\/strong>the document must be certified by the Greek Consulate in the area of residence or <strong>c)<\/strong> if a EU member no other certification is needed.<\/p>\n[3]\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Official translation: <strong>a)<\/strong> the document can be translated and certified by the Consulate or <strong>b)<\/strong> by the Section of Translations\u00a0(Arionos 10 and Ermou- Monastiraki) or <strong>c)<\/strong> by a qualified Greek lawyer.<\/p>\n[4] Certified Family Status (\u03a0\u03b9\u03c3\u03c4\u03bf\u03c0\u03bf\u03b9\u03b7\u03c4\u03b9\u03ba\u03cc \u039f\u03b9\u03ba\u03bf\u03b3\u03b5\u03bd\u03b5\u03b9\u03b1\u03ba\u03ae\u03c2 \u039a\u03b1\u03c4\u03ac\u03c3\u03c4\u03b1\u03c3\u03b7\u03c2):\u00a0 <strong>a)<\/strong> From the municipality where the parents are registered in Greece <strong>b)<\/strong> apply at a \u039a\u0395\u03a0 or <strong>c)<\/strong> from ERMIS.
